About to or have achieved accolades in Junior competitions such as Junior O level and AIMO. Starting to accumulate theoretical knowledge and fluency with logical rigour and problem manipulations. Argues by contradiction and entertains other indirect reasonings and abstractions. Can focus for 3 hours with a high quality of concentration. (An true intermediate will have exceeded the level of competence required for HSC math and could consider taking it accelerated before year 12)
