Junior

What are Junior students? They are typically younger students from year 5 to year 9. Many of our Juniors are13 years - 15 years old. They are usually full of ideas but not as concerned about making mistakes. Much of their knowledge has holes and is still very basic, most of their intelligence is fluid. They have trouble writing proofs or reading books. They are able to concentrate for about 1 hour to 2 hours but lose some focus after that. Content will tend to be more computational and concrete rather than abstract but seeds must be planted for future growth.

Classes for Juniors are on Saturdays, Mondays and Wednesdays during the school term and Monday to Friday mornings in the school holidays.

Exams for Juniors in Australia are the AMC, AIMO and Tournament of towns Junior O level, which are all hosted by our school and free to enter.
